Workshops are available for models and talent seeking to learn or refine their skills. You’ll be equipped with the confidence and expertise you need to book your next audition. Workshops are available to everyone.
Topics include: Audition techniques, teleprompter training, audition etiquette, spokesperson and emcee training, scene study, improv, self tape tips, cold reading, on camera direction, interview preparation, video auditions, booking etiquette, and more.
Amy Matthews-Acting Coach
Amy Matthews is a TV personality, producer, and actor. She offers group workshops or individual sessions on a variety of subjects for adults and children. Amy studied acting for theater, film, and television in New York City at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has inspired millions of viewers worldwide through her shows on both HGTV and the DIY Network which have included Renovation Raiders, Sweat Equity, Bathroom Renovations, and This New House.
Amy has also appeared on ABC’s In An Instant, and in numerous films, and national and regional commercials. She has also been a regular contributor on NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, and on CNN. In addition to on-camera acting, Amy has performed on stage with credits including performances with the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. She honed her improvisation skills while performing in the immersive productions of Tony & Tina’s Wedding.
Justen Jones-Talent Advisor
Justen is a gifted performer with a remarkable commercial portfolio which features local and global brands. His multiple film credits include theatrical releases, showcasing his broad experience. Beyond his on-camera acting career, he serves as an emcee for Target at large events in venues including Allianz Field in St. Paul. Justen’s depth of industry knowledge is exceptional, particularly in his one-on-one coaching sessions. Justen’s extensive background and success allows him to offer practical and real-world advice.
Additionally, his supportive and motivational approach helps actors build confidence and refine their skills. He is also known for his ability to improv on-camera or in-person. If you have attended the Minnesota State Fair, you may have seen him filming his popular segments on the best food at the fair.
Sara Boerboon - Model Coach
Sara Boerboon is our exclusive Savvy photographer and model coach. She has a cheerful, and casual style that our models and actors love. She is also an award-winning photographer and has multiple publications. Sara’s individual sessions include posing tips for models and actors to get the best results in their headshots.
During the session, models will be able to ask questions about being on-camera and given direction on how to improve your movement. Models will be able to review all of their photos and learn how to choose the best one. After the session is complete, they will receive two new selected headshots for their portfolio.
